Tell us a little about yourself. Career? Family life? Let’s get to know you!
“I currently work for IU Health as a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator. I finished my associates degree in business management this past November so I’m looking into other career opportunities right now. I spend a great deal of time with my family; I have 3 siblings and 2 adorable nephews. I also have 2 pups, Bo & Evie.”
What made you consider joining a CrossFit gym?
“I was looking for a gym that offered classes & a coworker suggested CrossFit. I really need structure when it comes to working out so CrossFit seemed like the perfect fit for me.”
Why did you choose CrossFit 317?
“One of my coworkers is a member of 317 and convinced me that it was the best gym to be a part of! Plus, it’s not too far from home.”
Please share some of your first impressions of the facility, the workouts, the coaching, and the class environment.
“The facility was mid-construction when I started so I got to see the end result of some of the improvements that were in progress. I really enjoyed the variety in the workouts & the option to scale. All of the coaches were really welcoming and helpful. I was nervous about the class environment at first, but I grew more comfortable after attending a few classes.”
What physical changes have you seen thus far?
“I have seen some improvement in my muscle tone & I’ve had some weight loss since starting at 317.”
How has your training at CrossFit 317 impacted your life outside of the gym?
“It’s had a pretty significant impact on my life. I feel more confident and my interests have grown to include additional athletic activities.”
What has surprised you the most about being part of the CrossFit 317 community?
“The camaraderie among the members surprised me & it’s probably my favorite thing about being part of the 317 community.”
Did you have a moment where you knew CrossFit was for you?
“Every time I show up for a class I am reminded of why CrossFit is for me. The 11 months that I’ve been at 317 has been the longest period of time that I’ve stuck with a workout regimen. I always seem to lose interest & CrossFit has kept my interest thus far.”
What advice would you offer someone that’s considering CrossFit 317?
“Just try it out for a few weeks, I’m sure you’ll be hooked after that!”
Besides coming to class, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any hobbies?
“My newest hobby is line dancing. I started with a friend about 8 months ago and now we go every week. I love board games, breweries, and concerts too. I also enjoy the occasional lazy day of binge watching Netflix and hanging out with my dogs.”
One last really important question. If you owned a boat, what would you name it?
