Brownsburg Fitness facility

“I became hooked after my first visit.”

Today we’re getting to know a bit more about Trenton Worden, who joined us in July through our Kick-Off program. Read on to learn more about Trenton’s experience as a beginner at CrossFit 317, and what progress he’s made in his time here.


Tell us a little about yourself. Career? Family life? Let’s get to know you!
“In 2015 I graduated from Ball State University with a degree in special education. I am now a proud special education teacher at the Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center as well as the varsity assistant wrestling coach. I recently bought a house in the Speedway area with my girlfriend Caitlynn.”

What made you consider joining a CrossFit gym?
“Being a wrestler my whole life, I became used to pushing myself. I wanted to find a place that would really help me push myself again. I had seen a few CrossFit videos and immediately became interested.”

Why did you choose CrossFit 317?
“Jill Lambert actually introduced me to CrossFit 317. After viewing the website and asking close to a thousand questions I decided to try it out. I became hooked after my first visit.”

Please share some of your first impressions of the facility, the workouts, the coaching, and the class environment.
“I was actually pretty nervous on my first Kick Off day. Within minutes I was having conversations with several people in the class. Everyone was very welcoming and fun to talk with.
The workouts at CrossFit 317 always provide an opportunity to challenge yourself and work toward your goals.
I have been around coaches my entire life. I can honestly say that the coaches at 317 truly care about you and your progress. They are always willing to show you the proper technique and encourage you the whole way.”

What physical changes have you seen thus far?
“I have always had a smaller build and a lower body weight than what I have preferred. Since joining CrossFit317 I have put on a few much desired pounds of muscle and I feel stronger than I ever have. Caitlynn also catches me flexing in the mirror more often.”

How has your training at CrossFit 317 impacted your life outside of the gym?
“I am now always thinking about what I am putting into my body, I have learned so many helpful dieting/weight management tips.”

What has surprised you the most about being part of the CrossFit 317 community?
“I am always surprised with the energy every class brings, especially at 5:30am. Everyone is always very encouraging and cheering you on.”

What advice would you offer someone that’s considering CrossFit 317?
“Come in and give it a shot. Having a goal is the first step, now it’s time to act.”

Besides coming to class, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any hobbies?
“I really enjoy camping with friends and my girlfriend, Caitlynn. We are always looking for new places to explore.”
