Congrats Maddie on being our next Athlete of the Month

1. How did you get started with CrossFit:

My mom had been doing it for a couple months and she suggested I try a class.

2. Favorite Wod and or Movement:

4. Long term and short term goal:

Short term – Chest to bar pull-ups
Long term – Team Regionals

5. What would you tell someone that is on the fence about Crossfit and not sure whether to try it out or not?

Don’t be intimidated by the abilities of other people at the gym. We all started somewhere.

6. What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

90lb snatch PR

7. Tell us something about you that nobody knows, preferably an embarrassing story:

Back in my cross country days, my mom made me run the Geist Half Marathon and let’s just say I had some stomach issues around mile 10. Thus began my hatred of running.

8. If you could workout with ANYONE…who would it be and why?

Brooke Wells because she’s one of the youngest competitors to make it to the Games and she’s really strong.

9. If you could have dinner with three people, any lifetime, who would it be and why?

Jennifer Lawrence and Melissa McCarthy because they’re my favorite actors and very funny. Also former Butler basketball player Andrew Smith who’s batting cancer.

10. What do you love most about CrossFit 317:

How the coaches and members not only encourage you but also make it fun.

11. What is your favorite quote and or/ that you live by?
