Tiffany Fields| Athlete of the Month

How did you get started with CrossFit:

My husband was doing CrossFit at another gym and I was very jealous! He wanted me to do research and join a gym that was structured and had a good beginners program. And here we are!

Favorite Wod and or Movement:

Movement – Any Olympic lift. I love it and feel so strong!

WOD – Murph. Just because I can’t believe I actually did it!!

Least favorite Wod or Movement

Burpees. Seriously!?

Long term and short term goal:

Long term: to start Rxing some workouts

Short term: to get past this mental block and do a box jump!!

What would you tell someone that is on the fence about Crossfit and not sure whether to try it out or not?

Oh, i can sell some Crossfit. If I can do CrossFit, anyone can. Honestly. There isn’t one workout I’ve missed out on or got “less” of a workout than someone else. The workouts are planned for you. the coaches are there to walk you through everything and answer all of your quesitons. I feel safe, never rushed into doing something i’m not comfortable with. I just know i’d never push myself as hard on my own.

What is your proudest accomplishment thus far?

Probably the workout that we did on 09/11. it’s the first time i’ve had a real goal with a crazy workout and came in under my goal time!!

If you could have dinner with three people, any lifetime, who would it be and why?

Dave Matthews, Dave Grohl and Amy Poehler. It’s too hard to answer this question but i think that this dinner would be a best ever!!

What do you love most about CrossFit 317:

 I love the fact that, more often than i care to admit, I walk in thinking “No way” and I walk out having done every bit of the workout!!

What is your favorite quote and or/ motto..one that you live by?

People will show you exactly who they are. Believe them.
