Today we speak with CrossFit 317 member Maricarmen Reyes. A relatively new member to our CrossFit classes, Maricarmen has been known to the 317 community as Diego’s mom for a couple of years. Read on to find out how CrossFit makes her wee-hours-of-the-morning wake up call a bit more manageable.
How has your training at 317 impacted your life outside of the gym?
“My training at 317 has impacted my life outside the gym in many ways. I start my work days very early in the morning and I stay there for very long hours. By coming to the gym and training I am feeling stronger and energized and that helps me to keep going on. It is also a way of releasing my stress.”
Is there a 317 memory that you would like to share?
“I have a few good memories that I would like to share. One of them was the last workout of the open, when I was able to RX in my category. My most recent ones are that my double unders are improving and my snatch PR.”
What is our favorite movement in Crossfit?
“My favorite movement are Deadlifts.”
If I asked to sum up 317 in one word, what would it be?
What do you love to do in your free time?
“In my free time I like to enjoy the outdoors, I love camping. If I lived near the ocean I would go to the beach every single day. I love to dance, listen to music, go to the movies, get together with good friends and have some drinks and I do CrossFit.”
