“It’s okay to not know all of the movements or understand the language. Everyone is more than willing to help.”

Today we’re chatting with CrossFit 317 member, Cindy Reese. Cindy started through our Kick Off program in October 2017 to assist her with an upcoming hiking trip. Read on to get to know more about her experience here!

Tell us a little about yourself. Career? Family life? Let’s get to know you!
“I am a Sr. IT Project Manager and I have worked for Community Health Network for 14 years.”

What made you consider joining a CrossFit gym?
“My son is in Boy Scouts and we are taking a high adventure hiking trip in June to New Mexico.  I joined the CrossFit to help me prepare.”

Why did you choose CrossFit 317?
“I live in Brownsburg and pass the gym frequently on the way to Scouts. Decided to stop in.”

Please share some of your first impressions of the facility, the workouts, the coaching, and the class environment.
“Coaching staff is very friendly and engaging during workout, constantly providing movement instruction to ensure I am doing things right.
The workouts were overwhelming at first, sore muscles and joints but a very good workout with variety.”

What physical changes have you seen thus far?
“Endurance and muscle tone have definitely improved.”

How has your training at CrossFit 317 impacted your life outside of the gym?
“Yes, in a positive way. I am trying to be more conscious of my eating habits.”

What has surprised you the most about being part of the CrossFit 317 community?
“I’ve had memberships in other gyms before CrossFit 317. The main difference is the encouragement received by other members and staff to push through the workout.”

What advice would you offer someone that’s considering CrossFit 317?
“It’s okay to not know all of the movements or understand the language. Everyone is more than willing to help.”

Besides coming to class, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? Any hobbies?
“I enjoy bowling, woodworking and photography.”

One last really important question. If you owned a boat, what would you name it?
“Sampson”
